 Microtubule Inhibitors

Microtubule inhibitors are tubulin-inhibiting agents that bind to tubulin and inhibit microtubule formation. They inhibit polymerization or depolymerization by interfering with self-assembly polymerization or disassembly of microtubules, affecting stability. They are used as anti-tumor or anti-malarial agents because they work at metaphase specifically and inhibit cell division.

NameCat No.CAS No.
Vincristine Sulfate V-10552068-78-2
AVincristine.sulfate blocks mitotic spindle formation, which impedes the cell cycle in G2/M phase. Blocks binding of tubulin to microtubule proteins through. Also acts as inducer to apoptosis; initiates Raf-1 activation phosphorylation of Bcl-2 family proteins; and induction of p53 expression. Used as cancer chemotherapeutic agent. Plant alkaloid.
Paclitaxel (Taxol), Taxus brevifolia P-102733069-62-4
Anti-tumor agent isolated from the bark of the yew tree.Attached is a published reference from researchers who have used our paclitaxel product.Tectorigenin sensitizes paclitaxel-resistant human ovarian cancer cells through downregulation of the Akt and NFB pathway.Weekly paclitaxel has limited activity in esophageal cancer. The median survival, modest activity, and tolerance of therapy indicate that weekly paclitaxel may be an option in patients unable to tolerate combination chemotherapy. .Paclitaxel Enhances TF Protein Expression and Surface Activity.Paclitaxel Enhances Thrombin-Induced Endothelial Tissue Factor Expression via c-Jun Terminal NH.
Asterric Acid A-2639577-64-0
Asterric acid is a fungal metabolite with anti-angiogenic properties, isolated from a number of Aspergillus and Penicillium species. It is an inhibitor of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), inhibiting VEGF-induced tube formation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells.
10,11-Dehydrocurvularin D-24791095588-70-7
Dehydrocurvularin is a 12-membered macrocyclic lactone incorporating a resorcinyl moiety, produced by a number of fungal species including Curvularia, Penicillium and Alternaria. Dehydrocurvularin inhibits cell division by disrupting mitotic spindle formation and acts as a developmental regulator by inhibiting self-sporulation in Alternaria alternata. More recently dehydrocurvularin has been shown to have antimalarial activity.
